The Medical Center maintains a private heliport capable of receiving the most critically ill or injured patients. The heliport opened in early 2010 after The Medical Center received a grant from the Georgia Trauma Commission to expand The Medical Center’s trauma capabilities. The Medical Center heliport serves a variety of patient needs from neonatal, stroke, myocardial infarction, medical to trauma.
