  • Your physician's preference
  • Your physician's schedule
  • Pre-procedure screenings to be completed (lab work, chest x-ray, EKG, etc)
  • Providing ample time to process your registration, insurance and co-payments, and respond to any questions you may have.

We are located in the Albert Buddy Luce Heart Institute on the 4th floor

When you arrive, please have the following:

  • Picture identification
  • All health insurance cards and numbers
  • Emergency contact information
  • Living will or Durable power of attorney for healthcare (if you have one)
  • Co-payment (we accept cash, check, money order, check card not requiring a PIN, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express All medications in their original container

After registration you will be taken to the pre-op area for preparation for your procedure. Once this is completed, your family and friends will be notified that you may have visitors and will be directed to that area. Generally only 2 visitors are allowed in the patient's room at a time. Children under the age of 12 are not allowed in the pre and post procedure area. You or your family may contact our guest service person at any time with questions or concerns (ext. 6517) on the phone located in the waiting room. The length of time you will be in our pre-procedure area varies and is based on many factors, for example, waiting on pre-procedure screenings, emergency cases, availability of physician, length of procedure, etc. When you are taken for your procedure your family will be asked to remain in the waiting room so that our guest service person may contact them with any updates. Once your procedure is completed you will return to the post procedure area for your recovery. The length of time spent in that area varies with the type of procedure you had and your physician's orders. Your family will be notified when you may have visitors.
