Continuing Medical Education
The Office of Continuing Medical Education (CME) coordinates all continuing medical education activities including grand rounds, conferences and symposia. A monthly CME newsletter, The Synapse, is published, which includes a calendar of on-going activities, information on conferences and symposia, and articles on a wide variety of educational issues. All physicians receive The Synapse and copies of all CME brochures and announcements. Opportunities for high quality educational experiences are available throughout the year at The Medical Center, Mercer University School of Medicine, off-campus locations in Macon and several resort areas. Grand rounds and other on-going activities are typically free of charge. Larger conferences and symposia are offered with modest registration fees. The Office of CME maintains computerized transcripts of MCCG/MUSM sponsored CME activities for all physicians. Transcripts are available upon request at no charge.
