Program Accreditation
| In
response to our community's critical need for anesthesia providers, MCCG
established an affiliation with Mercer University for a nurse anesthesia
educational program. The Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia
Educational Programs (COA) awarded initial accreditation of the MUSM/MCCG Nurse
Anesthesia Program in January, 2005. The Council on Accreditation is an
independent agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit
schools of public health. Mercer’s program is one of only two such programs in
the state of Georgia .
